THE REASON WE GATHER

You don't need another place
to prove yourself.

You need people you can be real with. Men who will show up, listen, and share what they've learned without pretending they've figured everything out.

THE FORGE is a men's mentorship community built around fitness, the outdoors, and the conversation that happens afterward. The activity gets us together. The relationships are why we stay.

Not a toughness test.
A place to practice showing up.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART

The workout ends.
The conversation begins.

Every gathering protects time to slow down, hear from a man a few steps ahead, and talk about life beyond the highlight reel.

Work. Relationships. Identity. Faith. The things that hurt. The next step you're trying to take.

You can share, listen, or pass. Trust is built over time, not demanded on day one.

THE FIRST GATHERING

Show up. Move. Talk.

A proposed 90-minute introduction.
No fitness test. No forced sharing.

  1. 00–10

    Arrive as you are

Meet the hosts, learn names, and hear how the group works.

  2. 10–40

    Move together

Warm-up, scalable bodyweight work, and a cooldown. Walking and lower-impact options are welcome.

  3. 40–50

    Hear a real story

A mentor shares something he struggled with, what helped, and what he's still learning.

  4. 50–80

Make room for the real stuff

A guided small-group conversation. Listen without fixing. Ask before offering advice. Passing is always okay.

  5. 80–90

    Take one step forward

Name an optional next step and arrange a check-in if you'd like one.

A FEW STEPS AHEAD. RIGHT BESIDE YOU.

You don't need all the answers
to have something to offer.

Our aim is to connect men with mentors roughly 7–10 years older. Close enough to remember that season of life. Far enough along to offer perspective.

Age is a starting point, not a qualification. We look for humility, consistency, clear boundaries, and the ability to listen. Connections grow through shared time and mutual choice.

THE KIND OF MENTOR WE NEED

“I haven't lived your story.
But I can walk beside you
while you figure it out.”

An invitation, not a promise of a match.

BEFORE YOU COME

A little less unknown.

You don't have to be outgoing, in shape, religious, or ready to tell your whole story.

Who is this for?

The proposed Meetup launch is for adult men ages 18–39, with invited mentors who may be older. We welcome men of different backgrounds, identities, abilities, and life experiences. Host-group age eligibility must be confirmed before the first listing.

Do I need to be fit?

No. Activities offer different levels of effort, including walking or lower-impact options. Rest when you need to. Let the host know privately about an accommodation you'd like to discuss.

What does faith-friendly mean?

Faith can be part of your story, but it is not a requirement for belonging. Men of any faith or no faith are welcome. No religious tests, recruitment, or pressure to pray.

Do I have to talk about my past?

No. You choose what to share and can pass at any time. Nobody will ask you to relive painful experiences or give details to prove you belong.

Is this therapy?

No. This is community and peer mentorship, not counseling, trauma treatment, or crisis care. Hosts will encourage qualified support when something is beyond the group's role.

How do we protect one another?

No recording, no gossip, no unsolicited fixing, and no using relationships here to sell or recruit. We ask members to protect personal stories, but cannot guarantee confidentiality. Safety concerns may require outside help.

Can someone under 18 join?

Not through this Meetup launch. A future youth program would need its own safeguarding structure and enrollment process before accepting 16–17-year-olds. It is not currently open.
